User Registration
In rare incidents iGoogle platform doesn't load users information, without which, Listy can't identify the user account. This in turn causes users to loose their data. We have added a simple (one step) registration process to uniquely identify your account, incase this happens to your Listy. This will also help you to reinstall same Listy to iGoogle, incase you delete it accidentally. Our upcoming extensions to Listy will require this feature as well.Settings
All Settings information is Optional, but leaving information blank will limit Listy functionality for you.Name: Tell us your name (or nickname!), so we can refer to you with your name instead of calling you ‘User’!
ZIP: Which part of the world are you from? We need this information to continue to provide you Listy as a free gadget by partnering with most cost effective SMS, and IVR vendors in your area.
Year of Birth: The year when you were born, we don’t need to know your Zodiac sign!
Phone: Provide your cell phone number (required for SMS functionality).
Provider: This is an important setting for SMS functionality. Simply choose the name of your cell phone service provider. If the phone number is not for a cell phone, select ‘Land Line’.
Colors For Priorities: Here you can choose custom color for each Low, Medium and High priority items. We have also added a check box if you want to change the text color instead of just the square in front of each item.
Tabs
Each Tab represents an independent list. You can add tasks or items to a list by typing them in the ‘New Item’ text box, and pressing Enter.Multiple Lists: Listy provides functionality for Multiple Lists/Tabs. Simply click on the + button to add another list. You can create multiple lists, one for each day of the week, or for different category of tasks.
Editable List Names: You can give unique names to your list by simply clicking the list name. From ‘Monday’ to Groceries’, as long as they are unique names, Listy will accept them.
New Item: Simply add a new item to an existing list by typing it in the text ‘New Item’ text, and pressing Enter.
Strikethrough: Done with your tasks, but don’t want to delete them? Use the Strikethrough functionality by clicking on the ‘
‘ button. It will strikethrough your item, but keeps it on your list. You can click on it again to remove strikethrough.
Delete: Done with your task? Click on the '
' to delete it.
Update List Name or Item: List names, and items (or tasks) added to lists are editable. Meaning, you can click on a list name or a task and it will become editable. You can make updates easily this way.
Item Priority: You can change the priority of your items by clicking on the red (High), blue (Medium), and pink (Low) dots on the left hand side of each item. Your lists will be sorted in the order of high to low priority. These colors can be changed in Settings.
Drag & Drop: You can change the position of a Tab by click and drag the 'Tab Name' to appropriate position. You can also change position of individual items within a Tab or even move it to another tab by dragging it to appropriate 'Tab Name'. The priority of the item will adjust automatically according to surrounding items's priority.
SMS
Click on the Sms link in the upper right hand corner of the gadget to send your list as a text message to your cell phone. Make sure you have entered a valid cell phone number, and selected the appropriate cell phone service provider.
Click on the Email link and a pop-up window should appear with all your tabs. You can hide any tab in the window to filter it in the email. If you are registered user with Listy, your default email will appear in the pop-up window. This can be changed with any valid email address.
Printing lists through is as simple as clicking the Print button at the top right hand corner.
